Hey Monica. I absolutely love ur blog. I am frm India but never gave Ayurveda much thought. Although my grandparents and parents instilled some discipline in my 'dincharya' which I was unaware of being Ayurveda rules until I read ur blog. And they worked. Now that I have my home I make my own rules which are different frm the ones I had when I lived with my parents and now it has dawned on me where I have been going wrong...why I have less energy, weak memory, high stress and sleep disorder. Thank you so much for such a accessible forum.
I have a few questions though:
- I grew up in India where is a lot of sun compared to London where I live now. For some time I moved to New York - a lot of sun again and my energy levels were similar to when I lived in India. Do countries or places have Doshas? - India & New York - Pitta, London - kapha?
I took your test and I am pitta-kapha. I think i was more kapha when young but now am equal parts pitta-kapha (vata digestion though)
In London I grew depressed, lethargic and craved toast, cake, tea, pasta all the time. My memory went for a toss, my hair started falling, I had acne on my cheeks (I never had acne in my youth), I could not sleep at night.....the list goes on.

Any comment or advice would be most helpful. Thank you and pls carry on the great work!

Hey JP! Thanks for the kudos. And yes! You are correct - the times are just a general guide and we should pay attention mostly to sunrise/sunset. The adjustment to daylight saving is the same - there will be a slight sleeping pattern/routine change at first, but then go back to sunrise/sunset routine. Hm...maybe I will alter the chart so that it doesn't focus as much on time. Thanks for the great questions!
