My new favorite book is Absolute Beauty by Pratima Raichur. I love it sooho much! Below is an excerpt from the book, about emotional issues linking to physical imbalances. I keep reading over and over because it makes total sense! And now I want to discover all sorts of emotional correlations with physical ailments…totally fascinating. Anyway, here it is:
In the form of messenger molecules, our unspoken feelings inevitably find other outlets in the body, causing any number of ailments that express the feelings for us. Ulcers can announce that something is “eating at” us, coughs and congestion may indicate that there is something we need to “get off our chest,” hypertension reveals that we are “steaming mad,” and…skin disorders often speak of a range of unexpressed sensations, each with its own “voice”: wet eczema weeps for our sorrows; worry lines confess our fears; the burning rash seethes with our bridled rage…I have found that the destructive effects of “undigested” emotions, are often apparent when a person is unable or willing to formulate and communicate feelings directly.
Aw. I love that bit. It’s quite logical (ridiculously logical) and it actually makes me want to cry a little. Our bodies speak so loudly because we do not allow our mouths to speak. So often, unspoken feelings turn into toxic emotions and make us sick. Really makes me sad. One small example is thyroid problems and there are a bizillion more.
So here! I root for all of you to speak!! You can rant in comments if you want – nobody knows who you are anyway, so have at. Why not. Make it your canvas. Express away (que the Madonna “Express Yourself” music) and let them go.

Louise Hay has a great book about this…’Heal Your Body’. It speaks about metaphysical reasons for various physical ailments. I always consult this book when I have an issue…and it’s almost ALWAYS true! Then, when I address that issue on the emotional level…the physical symptoms subside. It’s so cool! :)

Nice Topic….
Mostly we dont keep positive emotions (like joy, gratitude, etc) inside us. But we are taught negative emotions are bad, the name itself says that..so we are not willing to let these go out of our mind.
1) When we get some negative emotions, first we should understand its normal. If you feel anger, you should not suppress it. We should understand why its raising in our mind field. There is no such thing existing as negative emotions. Absence of positive is negative. Thats it. When we get anger, its an indication that we have less or no patience/tolerance. Then improve the patience instead of concentrating on anger. This understanding will help you lot to eliminate -ve emotions. Similarly Love-Hate, Jealous-Selfless, etc. If you have this understanding you wont feel guilt when the -ve emotions arise. -ve emotion is one thing, feeling guilt for this will make things worst. There are some ancient yoga techniques to catch ur thoughts before they are converted into Emotions. Then and there you can eliminate.
2) If you miss to catch ur thought, and if it becomes emotion, it will first affect our psychic body. If your awareness is good then you can very much analyze your emotional body. If your psychic body is affected, you can heal it using the positive emotions. Self Healing. A single negative emotion is enough to tear our emotional body up to great extend, This will suck all your positive prana/life energy. It will take weeks to make the psychic body healthier again.
3) Before this stage its better you push out your -ve emotions from your mind if its created. Share it with your partner, friends, or Write Personal Journal. This is the purpose of Journal writing before going to bed. People writes journal to clear out all the unwanted things from their mind. So that it wont get recorded in your subconscious mind and come as a dream to disturb your sleep. Mind is simple machine which records everything and process all the 24 hours, even when you are asleep. So be aware what you are recording in your mind.
4) If this is also missed then only it will come to physical level and shows the symptoms as disease and says that you did not clear some of your -ve emotions, old debt. Then its called disease. Dis- Ease.
5) So always prevention is better than cure. Catch these emotions in the thought level itself. (Im trying these days and yes its very much possible). So that it wont convert as emotions and then become as disease.
6) Positive always overcome negative. Apply positive energy in all the levels (thought, speech, action, etc). Then there wont be any room for negative things. Be positive always….
Ya I am B+ :)
Among all the positive emotions unconditional love (not sex, because sex is a conditional love) is the greatest one. Very Great :)
Let us all get Healthy Body, Peaceful Mind and Clear Intellect…..and EnJoy in our SELF…..
