Hey! Some would say that Monica Bloom is a bombastic ball of creative energy, buzzing around, constantly thinking, dancing strangely, and laughing loudly. Sometimes. People might say that. But I would say that I also have a softer side as a healer who is deeply observant, intuitive, empathetic, and somehow, pretty wise. Which is better? Neither. HeyMonicaB is a combo of both.
I have been running around doing many different things for the past 33 years trying to figure out my dharma (life work). It was only when I stopped running and took the time to look within, that I found answers. Through my own self work and self discovery, I came to realize that helping others evolve is what I do best.
Simply, I believe that my dharma is to bring people to their highest graces.
I spent 10 years in art direction, graphic design, and branding but in August 2007, I had a true epiphany when I stumbled upon Ayurveda on the internet. Before my eyes was everything I’d always believed in and I never knew it existed. Four days later I was enrolled in school. I graduated in April 2009 with a Diploma in Ayurvedic Sciences from Kerala Ayurveda Academy and spent early 2010 in India where I acquired certification in panchakarma (cleansing) therapies. I currently counsel individuals as well as teach Ayurvedic concepts through lectures (would love to do more!).
After a plethora of queries from friends and family, I created HeyMonicaB, an Ayurveda blog, as a live resource for Ayurveda. I welcome your emails, comments, questions and any problems I can help solve. My goal is to expose this ancient science so that we can become a healthier, wiser, and balanced world.
