I know, I've been there.

Hey! I'm Monica Bloom, former corporate leader turned Ayurveda author, speaker and mindset coach. 

Here's my deal, in 2012 I was a new mom in a fast-paced city with a high touch, stressful new job. I felt overwhelmed, over-scheduled, and there was not enough of me to go around.

Life was a string of crazy, disorganized groundhog days of commuting, working and parenting while trying to keep my head above water. But! I did nada to take care of myself because I thought I needed to take care of others first (lesson: this is wrong thinking).

My commute was 3 hours a day round trip. I was literally in sprint training everyday. After I dropped off my toddler off at school, I had 2 minutes (yes, literally!) to catch the bus 3 blocks away. In ballet flats and computer bag on my shoulder, I channeled my inner Flo-Jo and *GO!* If I made the bus, I smooshed on like a sardine. If I missed it, I missed my morning meetings. Both options sucked.

I knew something had to change. I learned that I had the power to make different choices but I had to take action.  

 THE PROBLEM: Everything was so jammed tight in my life I couldn’t find time to balance anything. Unless I was granted an extra two hours in the day, there was no way I could do it all. I felt like an exhausted failure.

SO, I FIGURED OUT HOW TO MAKE TIME MY BEST ALLY. I HACKED THE WORK-LIFE BALANCE STRUGGLE.

What I needed was something simple that could easily fit into my fully jammed schedule.

I didn’t have a lot of time but I found 10 minutes. Then I made space for another 10 minutes.

After that 20 minutes everything flipped. I hacked the work-life balance struggle.
