Good news! At least I think it's good news, but I am an Ayurveda nerd. Check it out, the 'spring forward' time change just made it EASIER for you to wake up in the dark before the sun!

I know I tell you all the time to wake up early—before the sun—but let’s be real… are you actually doing it? 

More importantly—how are you feeling right now? Be honest.

Are you feeling any of these things: Mentally foggy? Sluggish energy? Low motivation, low zest for life? Stressed? Depressed? Kinda chubby (ha!)?

1. Spring’s Time Change Just Gave You an Advantage—Use It! 

This isn’t just about waking up early—it’s about waking up in the right energy. Before the sun rises, it's vata time —which means your body and mind will move easier, lighter, faster, clearer. But if you’re waking up after sunrise, then it's Kapha time (slow, heavy, damp energy)—and that’s why you might feel sluggish, unmotivated, or groggy all morning. 

The spring time change just shifted your schedule—so now, waking up in Vata time is easier than ever. This is the moment to try it and see what happens.

2. Sweat it Out 

One of the fastest ways to shake off morning grogginess? Move your body until you sweat—just a little! Ayurveda teaches that sweat is a waste product (just like poop and pee!), and it needs to be released daily to keep energy flowing. If you’re feeling stuck, tired, or blah, sweating always helps!

3. Reframe the Time Change—It’s a Gift, Not a Struggle 

If you're like, “The time change is making mornings so hard,” 180 that thought. You’ve adapted to bigger time shifts before (hello, travel and time zones!). This is just one hour—your body will adjust quickly. Instead of resisting it, lean into it.
